Online Access

To gain online access to the publications and to download portals available by various publishers, you need to connect from a computer inside the UZH network, since the access is restricted to connections from inside the UZH networks. 

If you are on a remote location (outside the university), you have to use either 

Option Requirements Setup skill Disadvantage IP Thinlinc * 'IMATH Account' easy & recommended No local printing. Files remain on the Thinlinc Server. For local access the files needs to be stored in the personal home driectory and then transfered via SFTP to the local computer. IMATH (like working at the institute) VPN * 'UZH Shortname'
 * VPN Client Software medium Local network attached devices (f.e. printers) might disappear. UZH UZH Proxy * 'UZH shortname'
 * Lotus Proxy PW configured technical Every browser traffic will be routed through the UZH UZH
