Differences between revisions 35 and 36

SGD - Secure Global Desktop

Former names: 'Sun Secure Global Desktop' or 'Tarantella'.
Benefit: Access from outside of the institute to IMATH services.
Work as you would stay at the institute.
Requierements: IMATH account and a Webbrowser and JAVA (normally installed).
Features:
- Math software.
- Applications.
- Access to online libraries.
Disadvantage
- No local printing,
- Files are stored in the personal home directoy of the user, who logged in. If the files are needed locally, they have to be transfered via SFTP.

During log in, you have to accept all the self signed certificates (best is 'permanently').
In the screenshots shown server URL might change.

Log in on one of the above URL's.
Accept all certificates with yes or permanent. If you accept them permanent, you won't be asked again. The next time the login process is very quick.
