SSGD
you absolutely need to have a local MATH account already
- The preferred way of using any Math software, from outside the institute, is, to log in via a Webbrowser to the SSGD Server. This is an ordinairy Webpage.
- If you get an error message, that there are no licenses available, please try the other server.
- During log in, you have to accept all the self signed certificates (best is 'permanently').
Edit conflict - other version:
choose: 'I Understand the Risks' > 'Add exception'
Edit conflict - your version:
choose: 'I Understand the Risks' > 'Add exception'
End of edit conflict
Edit conflict - other version:
Edit conflict - your version:
End of edit conflict
choose: 'Get certificate' and choose: [ ] permanently store this exception
choose: Confirm Security Exception
Now you can see the initial menu for SSGD
Log in with your MATH credentials
"Certificate of this website can not be verified, do you want to continue?" - yes, and accept it permanently
"Certificate of this application can not be verified, do you want to continue?" - yes, and accept it permanently
Accept the Certificate permanently
Do you wish to connect: Yes
You can choose to start a GNOME session (complete Desktop) or matlab as a single window.
3) Transfer files from and to your MATH account
- You have no direct access from inside the SGGD applications to you local files.
If you need to import/export files, one possibility is: http://www.math.uzh.ch/?sftp
4) Technical Problems
Students that have trouble to create their MATH account, please send an email to support@math.uzh.ch
All other questions should be asked to your tutor.
